Project Description

Chili’s Bar and Bites, CDIA (Charlotte Douglas International Airport)

Working for Host Marriott, at the request of airport officials, along with representatives from the Chili’s franchise, RdM Architecture fit this non-traditional design concept into a space between Concourses A and B on the main level of the airport. RdM employed a mix of the corporate palette of Chili’s finishes, materials and design details, with its own complimentary creative colors and details in a harmonious and effective solution to this challenging location.

  • Coordinated franchise concept of color and funk with airport conditions to achieve successful non-traditional top revenue unit
  • Developed efficient plan maximizing dining room and bar seating, egress and delivery access, circulation and service stations, back and front of house relationships
  • Design required coordination of kitchen hood and exhaust duct paths and electrical service and upgrades
  • Design required relocation of high pressure duct serving this wing of the airport
